One of the oldest and most historic US cities, Boston is known as "America’s Walking City". In its heart, next to 18th-century Faneuil Hall, is Quince Market - a food haven. In the nearby seaport, you can take a whale-watching trip or dine at one of the many restaurants serving a Boston specialty: lobster with melted butter.
The streets south of the peaceful Charles River in Back Bay are lined with Victorian brownstone houses. At the downtown end of one – Beacon Street – is the Cheers bar, modeled on the 80's sitcom. Opposite is Boston Common, a large park with a bronze sculpture celebrating the book "Make Way for Ducklings". The golden dome of the House of Representatives is by the other end.
The oldest part is Charlestown and streets around the Bunker Hill obelisk still feature old-style gas lamps, though now they are electric. Over in Cambridge, Harvard is the USA’s oldest and most prestigious university. The campus is open to the public, as is Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), whose central point is an emblematic, Pantheon-like building.
Sport in Boston is also a big thing, with the Celtics and Red Sox among the city’s big name teams.
The largest New England city, Boston has the perfect size for walking and cycling. Logan International Airport is connected by public transport to Boston hotels, motels, apartments and B&Bs.

Loved the fact the hotel was Central and that Boston is easily walkable. Cobble stones and damaged pavements everywhere in older part, North side much easier to walk around.
Some great shops & restaurants, surpringly, not much veggie unless you count green salad.
Everywhere felt safe and comfy to walk round. A week is just enough time for a visit.
For those GF and Vegan I can't recommend Jennifer Lee enough, amazing sandwiches and cakes. Pho also great for vegan food. If you're a carnivore pretty much anywhere is great for you.
We did the hop on hop off Trolley Bus tour one day which was great, some guides were good, others not so much. Tbe Freedom Trail was really interesting, guide was helpful and gave loads of interesting facts on top of the historical info.

Don't let the stereotypes fool you.
Don't let the stereotypes fool you. The people of Boston, while not talkative like I am coming from the south, were the nicest city of strangers I have met, and you can feel a sense of comradery. Multiple instances I had some of the best of a food I'd ever had. The architecture is beautiful and the city is filled to the brim with history around every corner. Be prepared to walk for a deep appreciation of the architecture - it is sprinkled and spaced out all across the city. But it is worth it.
Our family of four really enjoyed our four night stay in the luxurious and spacious one bedroom suite. The style of the hotel had an upscale New England flair and is located in a historical building. The beds with their down toppers were very comfortable. We appreciated the little extras like the Dyson hairdryer and heated toilet seats. The location was perfect for touring downtown Boston and the seaport district. Thank you for a wonderful stay and we’ll be back again soon!
Great hotel comfortable place and great location in Chinatown Downtown Boston it is feel likes in college in dorm rooms sharing with other people rooms and the price is very is great and near the metro lines and buses and near restaurants I do recommend this place to stay overnight and to relax and hangout with friends and to meet new people and good breakfast they have in the kitchen dinning room and it gave laundry room and pool table
Small intimate hotel in a fantastic location. A stones throw from Newbury Street and Fenway Park.
Loved the suite we stayed in. Great to be able to sit and enjoy a glass of wine and watch TV on the sofa before bed.
I booked this hotel at short notice after our original pick let us down, and I wasn't disappointed.I've stayed in several other hotels in Boston over the years, and this is without doubt the best. Would definitely return.
The location, first of all, cannot be beat. If you need to be in the center of Boston and are on a budget. This place is perfect. It's not a luxury experience. But it's safe, quiet and the wifi worked without a problem. The a/c and heating worked, the shower worked great - good water pressure and temperature. If you like no-frills and amazing deals hotel travel, this is a great place to stay.
My room was very clean and comfortable. Hotel feels historic but is recently renovated. It's in the best location very close to Newbury Street and Back Bay. Walking distance to everything you need to access in downtown Boston and a 5-min walk from the Back Bay T station. Staff were very friendly and helpful. For the price I paid, this was an amazing value for this area.
Location perfect for concert at TD Garden, and within walking distance to most Boston attractions. Lovely bar/breakfast area with outside seating and great downtown views. Fun deco. Comfortable bed. Clean room. Good idea to have controls on i-pad. Luxury towels! It cost $20 by taxi from the airport and there's a taxi rank outside which makes an easy return.
This is a brilliant hotel as a base for central Boston and was one of the few we could find on Booking.com that met our specific needs for a double room and a twin room. It's right in the heart of the city, within easy walking distance of the Freedom Trail, waterfront area and vibrant Italian quarter and multiple great restaurants and cafes.
Awesome 55" HDTV!! Large room and bathroom. Mini-fridge, Keurig coffee maker, sofa and table. Walking distance to 3 train lines - orange, red and green. Very close to Boston Common and Public Garden. Convenient downtown location. Close to many restaurants and activities. Garage under the hotel.
This hotel is a gem. Not quite in Boston downtown so more affordable, but very well positioned to get anywhere since it is two minutes walk from an MBTA red line stop. Additionally, free airport shuttle and breakfast was included too. Great value for a high quality hotel.
1. Wonderful location at Downtown crossing walkable to Chinatown, theaters, Boston Common, Freedom Trail and Beacon Hill!!
2. My executive King room was huge
3. The staff is kind and attentive. When is the last time you felt that at a city hotel? This staff has your back!
The room was very spacious, the facilities including bar, gym & pool were excellent. The location in Seaport is a 5 minute drive from the airport and within walking distance to all major attractions in Boston. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
Great hotel! The location was perfect for Copley/Back Bay! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean, comfortable, and large for downtown Boston! Decent views and more. The issue was no microwave, but not a big deal.
Great stay and very well situated in Boston. Clean room and nice staff. the rooftop bar was great with a very nice view of the city. This hotel has a very easy acces to the airport and also to the South train station.
the location was perfect, close to the boston common n downtown.
the room was clean, the bed was confortable, the staff was very friendly...the free coffee, tea n water was very thoughtfull...
i recomand this hotel
rooms are spacious and hotel is great. close to a big mall with great restaurants and shops and 10 min walk to a subway station that takes u to downtown boston in 5 mins.
The location of the Hotel is perfectly placed in the center of all the action of Historic Downtown Boston. On steps away from the Freedom trail and Quincy Market.
