The QBEC is a non-profit association established in August 1989, with a membership consisting of approximately:
60% architects and technologists
30% building owners, manufacturers of building products and contractors
10% engineers and researchers
The QBEC organizes a minimum of eight conferences annually (September to May) on topics dealing with a variety of aspects specifically related to the building envelope, such as:
- The restoration of building fa ades and roofs, including the integration of new fenestration;
- Masonry, curtain wall and other cladding systems;
- Hygrothermal performance.
Le Conseil de l Enveloppe du B timent du Qu bec (CEBQ) et l Ordre des Architectes du Qu bec (OAQ) invitent les architectes, les technologues au service des bureaux d architectes, ainsi que les autres intervenants de l industrie de la construction au 2e Colloque annuel sur l enveloppe du b timent. L objectif du colloque est de proposer un forum sur les plus r cents d veloppements scientifiques et technologiques en science du b timent. Les praticiens, chercheurs et experts auront l occasion d y discuter des enjeux concernant la conception, la construction et l exploitation des b timents, tout en mettant l accent sur l enveloppe du b timent.
