Description
Hello Everyone, On behalf of your Executive, let me say how excited we are about the prospects for our Annual Meeting in Edmonton. Being responsive to member feedback, we moved the meeting dates back to June to interfere less with your family s summer vacation plans. Having said that, we still encourage you to bring your family with you to Edmonton, as there will be something there for everyone!
From a professional development perspective, you should know that Drs. John Cinats, Robert Korbyl and their Program Committee have already been working very closely with all of your subspecialty chairs to give you the best meeting program we ve ever offered. There will be a particular focus on making the meeting relevant and valuable for members from both community and academic settings aiming at making it useful for members who don t subspecialize as well as for those who do. We are again going to offer the always-popular Instructional Course Lectures on both common and controversial topics, along with plenary sessions that will feature hot topics symposia, tips and tricks, panels and debates of interest, along with open papers that will be grouped according to theme. Our goal is to allow members as much flexibility as possible in following one theme of interest or moving between areas of interest at the meeting.
