This symposium is structured as a practical, clinically oriented review of ultrasound. A mix of ob-gyn, body, musculoskeletal, pediatric and vascular lectures are included so registrants can expand their clinical practices. Tips, protocols, and pitfalls provide balance to the program. Faculty have been selected for their teaching ability, as well as for their expertise.
Attendees should, at the completion of this course, be able to:
- Assess new developments in evaluating obstetrical and gynecological patients
- Utilize ultrasound to assess patients with a variety of abdominal and pelvic disorders
- Evaluate patients for thyroid and parathyroid disease using ultrasound imaging techniques
- Expand their clinical protocols for evaluating the vascular system
- Discuss the use of ultrasound in evaluation of the kidneys and urinary tract
- Incorporate state of the art imaging techniques for evaluation of breast cancer into clinical practice
- Discuss the clinical application of ultrasound imaging to evaluate the musculoskeletal system
