Description
This annual course is designed to provide an update of state of the art, practical approaches to the care of patients with dementia and Alzheimer`s disease, and their caregivers, for all groups of health care professionals. This year`s course will focus on emerging technologies and their application to the practice of dementia care. The morning of the course will review the several emerging biomarker technologies that will impact dementia care their potential application in the diagnosis, prognosis, or treatment monitoring of dementia and its prodromal states (such as Mild Cognitive Impairment-MCI). This will be followed by an expert panel discussion of the issues involved in applying these technologies in the pre-symptomatic diagnosis of people at risk, such as children of people with dementia.
