The theme for the 2010 conference is `Statistics in the West: Understanding our World`, providing opportunities for presentations on a wide range of topics. In our bulletins to follow, we will provide more detailed information about the program, accommodation options and social activities.
A two-day satellite conference for statistics educators and practitioners OZCOTS 2010, will be held in conjunction with ASC2010. Invited and contributed papers on topics across the statistical education spectrum will be presented.
Who should attend Statisticians from state and federal bodies, research institutions, academia and private companies. They come from a broad range of specialist areas including medicine and the pharmaceutical industry, finance and insurance, mining, environmental science and ecology, agriculture and food, quality control. Statistical educators who teach across areas as diverse as social science, health sciences, natural resource management, mining and engineering will also be well represented.
