Description

The CEE region has proved to be one of Europe s fastest growing economies. Along with steady gross domestic product growth another tendency appeared savings. The savings level in the CEE region is one of the most important factors behind the increasing interest in structured products. And although the financial crisis did affect CEE it is important to mention that countries such as Poland, Czech Republic and Slovakia are in a much better position than those in Western Europe. The reason for it is the highest level of consumption in Eastern Europe.

Structured products entrance into the CEE markets was stormy and surrounded by hectic discussion, as sales of these products has doubled in the first quarter of 2007 in comparison to the same period of the previous year. Today, despite of the financial crisis these products have become extremely sophisticated and potential investors appetite for them keeps growing.

CEE Structured Products 2010 is bringing together some of the leading industry experts to address the key issues facing the international and local investment, private and retail banks, asset management companies, hedge funds, insurance companies and pension funds and explore the market potential of structured products in the aftermath of the financial crisis.
