Why Should You Attend: It began as a voluntary initiative in 2006 and was known as the Physician Voluntary Reporting Program (PVRP). This voluntary program has changed several times over the years. Your practice may know this program better as either the Physician Quality Reporting Initiative (PQRI) or, as it became known in 2011 as, the Physician Quality Reporting System (PQRS).
By either name, this once voluntary initiative will become very important to practices as the financial incentive for reporting PQRS codes changes to a disincentive in the next four years. In 2015 the program becomes mandatory and switches to imposing penalties on those who do not successfully report.
This webinar will help you make certain your practice understands how to correctly report PQRS for anesthesia services. We will discuss necessary and required documentation to support the PQRS information reported.
Areas Covered in the Seminar: - Review and discuss 2011 PQRS Anesthesia Measures/Clusters.
- Learn necessary and required documentation to support PQRS information reported.
- Understand how the PQRS procedure codes and modifiers apply.
- We will cover some generic terms for antibiotics.
- Learn how to begin reporting PQRI for your anesthesia practice by 2012.
