Description
This is a new great opportunity to welcome our friends from the Radiation Oncology Group of EORTC. Ten years ago, in spring of 2000, just after the change of the millennium, I had the pleasure of hosting you in my city. Now, I am keen to repeat this terrific experience. Today, economics is not in its best moments and funding is scarce for all, mainly for some medical specialties. This is especially harder for Radiation Oncology, as we have often faced such difficulties, and for many years, we have been working to demonstrate we are a key for cancer treatment. Despite this, we are preparing an excellent occasion to meet with all our ROG fellow members, as well as others that would like join us.
ROG is, arguably, the most active group in the history of EORTC, if based not just on scientific production but also in the personal sphere. Becoming a member of the ROG gave me the opportunity to learn a lot, including being active, in many clinical trials and the opportunity to share nice papers! Thanks to you all, one feels happy and at home with the ROG.
