3 high-generation plants are under construction.
5 high-generation plants have been approved or under planning.
If the above 8 high-generation plants come into production according to plan, the market share ofChina LCD panels will raise from 2.4% to 20% in the global market. (DisplaySearch, Mar. 2010).
There will be 450 million CRT TVs to be replaced during the coming 5 to 10 years. In 2014, the production of flat panel TVs will be 590 million, achieving 100% market share and replacing CRT TVs completely. (DisplaySearch, Jul. 2010)
China mainland will witness 40 million liquid crystal TVs in 2010 which will make China mainland to be the biggest market of liquid crystal TVs in the world unexpectedly. The sales of liquid crystal TVs will be 46 million in 2011. (DisplaySearch, Nov. 2010).
The sales of LED TV will increase quickly in 2010, achieving 550 million (AVC, Jul. 2010), while it will reach 33.8% market share in 2011 and be dominant in TV market in 2012 (DIGITIMES Research, Aug. 2010)
