The general theme of "Dams in Transition" organized the German Committee on Dams of 14 eV to 16 April 2010 in Aachen, the 15.
15th German Dam Symposium.
More than 80 abstracts were submitted to the focal themes Will be "Current Hydraulic assigned projects" and "News from research and development". That makes me feel confident in two ways:
- Our industry upswing again, or - to remain in technical terminology - Buoyancy feel!
- The lecture program of the 15th Dam symposium promises to date!
Of the selected 45 abstracts were submitted for the symposium. In addition to spectacular dams and hydropower projects (not only from abroad) as well as reports about the latest developments in research, law and administration can expect the participants of the symposium practical experience from the reservoir operation.
With this preliminary program, which was necessary because of the large number of submitted papers, inform the German Association Talsperrenkomitee still before the publication of the final program for the state of readiness, enabling all interested parties to register early.
The symposium ends with a full-time professional tour around the scenic German-Belgian border region. The operators of the German and Belgian dams have pledged their support. Thus, the field trip participants, many new impressions - may not only be expected from hydraulic structures, -. In addition, promising the sights of the traditional city of Aachen is an interesting supporting program, which goes far beyond the famous Aachener Printen.
