Description
The conference will cover all aspects of hand surgery through a series of interactive academic sessions coupled to discussion groups and workshops intended to extend participants` knowledge and practice of hand surgery.
The academic program will consist of lectures, panel discussions, workshops and discussion groups. It is planned to be interactive. This will ensure participants contributions will benefit all.
Topics will include distal radius fractures, carpal instability and arthritis of the wrist and hand. Latest techniques of wrist, small joint arthroscopy and arthroplasty will be presented.
There will be lectures from the local faculty on special topics relevant to hand disorders in Africa, specifically covering hand injuries from wild African animals, Aids and the cultural factors influencing the management of the local inhabitants.
