Located in downtown San Antonio, this hotel is blocks from the River Walk and a 6 minute walk from the Alamo. It features an outdoor pool and gym. Free hot breakfast is available daily.

I’ve never logged at any hotel that served breakfast in which the food staff was so unorganized. There were little to no food prepped and out for serve. To include both coffee (decaf and orig) totally empty. To add: The irons leaked water , and ruined a dress. The bed was uncomfortable, and the area wasn’t that great. I expected more out of a Hilton property and disappointment for a two day stay. I’ve logged at other properties with same to equivalent pay and experienced better qualities. Sorry, I normally don’t complain but I felt this need to be noted so it could be fixed.

FAQs about hotels in San Antonio

The Legend of the West

San Antonio in Texas is home to 2 of the state’s top attractions: The Alamo and the Riverwalk. One of the city’s former Spanish missions, the Alamo was the site of a deadly battle that cost folk hero Davy Crockett his life. The other remaining missions - Concepcion, San Jose, San Juan, and Espada with its aqueduct - are dotted around the city. The attractive Spanish Governor’s Palace also remains.

The San Antonio River runs right through the city, below street level. Known as the Riverwalk, its banks have been cleverly developed to house riverfront restaurants, bars and shops, and are spectacularly lit for Christmas. There are several San Antonio hotels by the Riverwalk which are also close to the Rivercenter Mall, the city’s biggest shopping center, while La Villita artisan village has more traditional crafts.

Across the road in Hemisfair is the Tower of the Americas, a tall observation tower with a revolving restaurant overlooking the Alamodome, a huge sports and convention venue, home to the annual Alamo Bowl collegiate football game. Booking.com has several San Antonio hotels near the Alamodome, and more accommodations near San Antonio Airport.

On the outskirts of the city are Sea World and Six Flags Fiesta Texas. The city also hosts the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo, one of the country’s biggest Western events.

We enjoyed the River Walk and adjacent venues.

We enjoyed the River Walk and adjacent venues. I returned to visit Ft. Sam Houston Army Medical Training Station for the first time since graduating there in 1971. It was convenient to the downtown area we visited. The cold was a little limiting but it is winter. Casa Rio fajitas were wonderful. The River Walk was pleasant even in colder weather. The San Antonio CityPass made it easy to enjoy the ALAMO, the Tower of the Americas, and the Narrated River Boat excursion.

Homeless encampments are popping up all over the city. A lot of vagrants downtown and construction in the downtown area is ridiculous. Love the hotel. Love the people. San Antonio is obviously a liberal run city and unfortunately showing it.

It was cold when we were there, which was unfortunate since I live in NH! Definitely try the riverwalk boat trip! We did it at night and the Christmas lights were still up! And our guide was awesome. We kept not finding the best restaurants but the drinks were good! LOL

The city is nice but they don't really have that much to do for like families. They had more museums to see then other activities. I would recommend going in the summer so you can visit Sea World and Fiesta Texas.

Hotel was relatively near the Riverwalk and Alamodome, we were able to walk. San Antonio has done a good job connecting this side of I-35 to downtown with well lit streets and wide sidewalks. It is quite possible to leave your car at the hotel and walk downtown. The hotel is a good price for what you get, a simple stay, free parking, a good bed and clean bathroom.

Decent breakfast, team were very helpful with tips and service. The room is not that bing, but if you're not staying there the whole day, it's ok. The best is definetly the location: it's sooo close of Alamo, Downtown and Riverwalk.
