I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Anantara New York Palace Budapest. From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly attentive, kind, and dedicated to making my stay memorable. Their warmth and professionalism truly set this hotel apart.
A very special thank you to Beatrix at the concierge, who went above and beyond to make my stay extraordinary. Not only did she graciously upgrade my room, but she also surprised me with a beautiful birthday cake in my room, adding such a thoughtful and personal touch to my celebration. Later that evening, during dinner at the hotel’s main restaurant, she arranged for a second birthday cake, making the occasion even more special. Her kindness, attentiveness, and genuine hospitality truly made my experience unforgettable.
The room was stunning, with an elegant design and every comfort imaginable. The hotel’s ambience was simply fabulous. Every detail, from the décor to the impeccable service, exceeded my expectations.
I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Budapest. It offers not just luxury, but a truly warm and welcoming experience. I will definitely return on my next visit!

Great location, just in front of Budapest main railway station, just 100 yards from the metro. The SPAR store was on front, friendly staff, neat and clean room value to money. Also we pay for 2 beds and they give us an extra bed in room.

Breakfast was very good and had many choices. Very clean and decent service. Location is excellent, has metro (prefer 24H tickets for metro, they do not need extra validation in every station) and lime near. Room was very clean and service very kind. They also let us store our languages on last day in the hotel after our check-out until our flight.

With a dome reminiscent of Brunelleschi’s "The Duomo" in Florence, the Hungarian parliament building is undoubtedly the icon of Budapest. It sits majestically by the Danube, the river that both divides and unifies the 2 parts of this capital city: Buda and Pest.
Overseeing Budapest from its vantage point on Castle Hill is Buda Castle. Spectacularly lit at night, it has the best views across this attractive city steeped in World Heritage. Some unique points of interest are Heroes Square and the Museum of Terror, reminders of the city’s more turbulent past.
Much like in Vienna further up the Danube, coffee and cake is practically an institution in Budapest. And there’s nowhere better to try them than Gerbeaud - the elaborate décor alone makes this café well worth a visit.
To really feel like a local, make a trip to the thermal baths. The relaxed Gellért Baths are a triumph of Art Nouveau grandeur and, based on their sheer size, you can't miss the outdoor Széchenyi Baths. If unusual nightlife is your thing, the club nights at these baths are great fun.
With an impressive range of Budapest hotels, apartments and hostels available in this city of 2 halves, Booking.com makes it an easy choice.
Get a bus pass. Very usefull if you are an eager tourist.
Get a bus pass. Very usefull if you are an eager tourist. Budapest is a large town. 4 days ok for Budapest. You need more time for the outskirts. Have a day/72 hours/montly bus pass, you won't regret it; max waiting time: 4 minutes in any moment of the day/night/week. Always check prices. Budapestians tends to take advantage of their unique locations. Like we do in Italy :)
Excellent food, excellent travel medias, excellent feeling of safety, excellent cleanliness.
Only people never really smiled. Sort of robotic answers... Be happy! You live in a spectacular place!
Rosenstein Restaurant TOP OF the POPS. Went there twice, had best surprise twice.
Paprika restaurant a tourist outlet. Don't go there unless you are only looking for plain food, plain service, plain bill

I absolutely loved Budapest, one of the best cities I have ever been too and to anyone that hasn’t been you have to go! We went for 2 nights and 3 days which was plenty, we really fitted a lot in that time! Thermal baths is a must! Really enjoyed that! We went to lots of different bars and food restaurants! Tiki bar I think it’s called is a really cool unique bar, really nice drinks, definitely try it if you are going! I would definitely go back again one day!
Travel is so easy, Ubers/bolts I think are the best, we used these all the time, bolt mainly as I found them cheaper and nothing was too expensive, I think from the airport to our hotel was only about £27 which I think was really reasonable. All of the drivers are really friendly, didn’t have one bad experience.
Smashy burgers is also a good place if you are feeling abit peckish or want something light, it’s abit like mc Donald’s but I think much better!
We also did the Prosecco cruise of a night, again really good priced, definitely worth doing. See some beautiful sights at night, and they were always coming over to top up your drink. Lots of different boat/cruises you can do. I would book online before I use “get your guide “ app. Tickets are there for you striaght away.

If you like statues and monuments, you'll love Budapest.
If you like statues and monuments, you'll love Budapest. The hop-on hop-off tour could be avoided. The tram ticket system is a scam. Download the Budapest Go app and buy your tickets there. They will fine you immediately if no ticket. Great nightlife, lovely beers, food is ok-ish. Its very expensive city.

We stayed for 3 nights and it was a relaxing but full of sightseeing, food/wine and shopping.
Coming from the UK, I felt everything was cheaper and very affordable.
There were so much to do and visit and we really enjoyed Budapest.
The transportation was well organised and cheap. Or if you fancy walking along Danube river or across many beautiful bridges, you can do it too.

This is my 2nd visit in 15 months. I actually upgraded to a junior suite !!! Absolutely luxurious for only an extra £20 a night. One of the best city break hotels I have stayed in from all over Europe. Spotless, luxurious, most friendliest staff I have ever met. Best location in centre but very quiet and still private. 5 mins from Danube, shops, restaurants and easy to catch transport to attractions. Can’t rate this hotel highly enough to anyone visiting Budapest. More like a 5 star hotel!
We did enjoy our stay very much at Ambra hotel. The location is excellent, just a few minutes from the city centre. The room was clean, comfortable and with everything we needed. Breakfast was buffet style, with plenty of savoury and sweet choices. The food was always lovely and freshly cooked. This hotel is ideal for somebody visiting Budapest for a few days.
The hotel is in the heart of the city centre very near to St Stephen’s Basilica and therefore very convenient for seeing the sights of Budapest. The hotel layout and rooms were very comfortable. We enjoyed excellent choice of breakfast food during our three day stay and the reception staff were very friendly and helpful.
Situated close to Budapest railway station, a walking distance from the city centre and the promenade a long the Danube river. A hotel with a decent quiet rooms with air conditioning and helpful staff. Ideal for both solo or group travelers, add the breakfast packages for good start to your day.
Everything was perfect! It was very clean, staff was very helpful as well. Perfect location near city centre and free parking. Very good value for the money, highly recommended this hotel in Budapest
