Description
On behalf of the Japan Endocrine Society, we are pleased to invite you to the 14th International Congress of Endocrinology (ICE2010) to be held in Kyoto, Japan from March 26 (Fri) to 30 (Tue) in 2010.
The Japan Endocrine Society was founded in 1925 and has about 7,000 active members. It has six affiliated societies: Japan Thyroid Association, Japan Neuroendocrine Society, Japan Society of Reproductive Endocrinology, The Society of Cardiovascular Endocrinology and Metabolism, The Japan Endocrine Pathology Society, and The Japan Steroid Hormone Society. In 1988 the Japan Endocrine Society was honored to host the 8th International Congress of Endocrinology in Kyoto, and the conference was of a great success with 4,500 participants from all over the world.
ICE2010 is the new style of ICE under the new statutes of the International Society of Endocrinology (ISE). As the host society, the Japan Endocrine Society is intending to organize the most attractive congress of endocrinology and metabolism in science and international friendship. Eleven official satellite symposia are also planned before and after the main congress in Kyoto and other cities.
Kyoto, the ancient capital of Japan for more than 1,000 years, is famous worldwide for many UNESCO World Culture Heritage Sites. It is one of the most attractive cities for participants from foreign countries, since it is full of both traditional and modern Japanese cultures. Kyoto is a city of great capacity from the viewpoints of academia, internationality, Japanese tradition, and natural scenery. Spring in Kyoto is full of cherry blossoms and is the most beautiful time of the year.
In 2010 we look forward to seeing you in Kyoto, Japan.
