Society of Pakistan English Language Teachers (SPELT) is a professional body committed to the training of teachers to teach English effectively.
In today s rapidly changing ELT scenario it is imperative that teachers be equipped with the latest teaching tools and techniques, in order to empower themselves. This in turn will also ensure maximum learner autonomy as their ultimate goal. This change, however, is possible only if teachers are made aware of the ongoing ELT research and innovations worldwide. Networking and sharing of ideas with teachers around the globe through conferences provides excellent opportunities for professional growth and development.
The SPELT innovative travelling conference provides a forum for teachers to understand and link teaching theories and practices in the classroom. It is an excellent opportunity to see theory and practice as two sides of the same coin and to network. Papers, presentations and workshops cover themes of classroom practices, teacher/learner autonomy, research in language teaching/learning with special focus on EFL/ESL and the relationship between language teaching and language learning.
