Description
The ASNM is excited to announce a symposium overseas to promote education of intraoperative neurophysiology for physicians and suppport staff. The symposium is being organized in cooperation with the newly formed International Society on Intraoperative Neurophysiology (ISIN).
Unique for this symposium is that IONM cultures of different countries meet each other. This creates the opportunity to discuss issues on education and credentialing and also to address serious practical problems how to set-up, finance and staff monitoring facilities. These subjects are worked out in two forum discussions guided by questionaires using televoting.
The program contains a variety of well known key-note speakers, hands-on sessions and breakfast sessions on specific IONM chapters and subjects. The planning committee has scheduled a live monitoring break-in session, poster presentations on scientific works and on clinical practical subjects. The program offers all levels of monitoring staff a forum to share their experiences.
