Description
We are pleased to announce the Second International Workshop on interim PET in lymphoma, to be held in Menton (French Riviera) , in April 8-9th 2010. The First International Workshop, organized under the auspices of the GELA by Michel Meignan (Cr teil, France), Andrea Gallamini (Cuneo, Italy) and Corinne Haioun (Cr teil, France) was held in Deauville, France in April 2009. The aim was twofold : to reach a consensus on criteria for interim PET interpretation in lymphoma and to launch international validation studies (IVS) in an attempt to validate these rules in Hodgkin (HL) and Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma (DLCBL). The report of this workshop is available in Leukemia & Lymphoma 2009;50:1267-60.
In Menton, more than 50 experts in the field will participate to the closed meeting on Thursday and will attend the open session on Friday. During the open session, the invited international experts, Nuclear Medicine physicians and Haematologists, will present the state of the art , moving from the pioneer studies up to the last achievements, and will focus on a number of hot and unsettled issues in interim PET in lymphoma. The clinical trials that are running worldwide at this writing aimed to assess the role of an interim-PET response-adapted strategy will be shared with the audience, as well as the preliminary results of the IVS on HL and DLCBL. The experts will also discuss the validity of the Deauville consensus criteria.
We hope to see you and share with you a fruitful meeting.
