Description
Irregular Warfare 2010 Impact of the New Warfighting Paradigm
DoD Directive 3000.07, released in December 2008, places the mission of irregular warfare on an equal footing with conventional warfare in future military planning. Irregular Warfare 2010 objectives are to provide a continuum of strategies, tools, and capabilities for dealing with tomorrow`s complex and increasingly asymmetrical challenges to US military and geo-political interests, including new approaches for dealing with counter-terrorism, counter-insurgency, and the stabilization and reconstruction/rehabilitation of adversary states and entities. Lessons learned from counter-insurgency (COIN), counter-terror, and stability operations in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere, are driving the formulation of new IW policy, which will in turn impact future military strategy, doctrine, operations, procurement/capital investment, and support. How can your organization play a role?
This outstanding conference brings together the key experts and critical organizations who will be shaping the development of irregular warfare. They will examine the latest information on OSD and Service formulation of needs, initiatives, roles and responsibilities for IW.
