In 2011, the military airlifting community in the region is currently looking at:
- Prioritising the types of upgrades and modernisation to be done on existing C-130H s in Asia Pacific air forces, be it a focus on improving structural integrity, avionics packages, navigation and communications suites and new glass flight decks
- Examining the selection for the procurement of new airlifter platforms for Asia Pacific air forces
- Developing strategies for effective tactical airlifting in troop transport and disaster relief capabilities in support of humanitarian missions
Bringing together key air force officers, programme managers and industry leaders,
Military Airlift Asia 2011 will cover discussion on the current and future requirements of the military airlifting community in the region. Conference will rely heavily on the input of the air force officers who are at the forefront of airlifting operations and industry personnel who are subject matter experts on the solutions to tailor fit to each air force s requirement.
