Family and Marital Therapies Association - Turkey (AETD) was established in 1997 with the objective of contributing marital and family therapy studies in Turkey and keeping our colleagues up to date with the latest developments and techniques. AETD has a wide range of members; psychiatrists, psychologists, psycological counselors, social workers and family practitioners. The total number of members is about 380.
Since 1997, AETD has organized one national symposium, five national congresses and the XIV. IFTA International Family Therapy Congress in stanbul in 2004. Many world renowned local and international scientists have attended our local congresses as speakers over the years, who are accepted as pioneers in the field. The speakers contributed to most fruitful conferences, panels and workshops and they have shared their rich experinece with our Turkish colleagues.
