The NSW Energy Reform and Outlook Summit 2011 will look at all the issues facing the privatisation of the NSW energy sector
The State Government has put a mandate on the privatisation of the retail sector for early 2011, the ramifications of which will likely affect both State and Federal energy markets.
Generation capacity is rapidly ageing and is poorly positioned to meet the challenges of the energy sector`s `new world order`, where technology has advanced to meet the need for a curtailed carbon footprint while increasing its capacity.
There are new additions to the energy landscape which need to be considered by policy makers, namely, the emerging power of the Greens in the Senate and the very the likely introduction of a national ETS or carbon tax.
