Description
This course is designed for practicing clinical radiologists in academics or private practice. Non-radiologist clinicians who treat neurologic, gastrointestinal, pulmonary or breast diseases may also beneft from being updated on latest imaging developments.
General radiologists must be aware of the changes and developments in all areas of radiology (both MRI and CT) including Abdominal, Thoracic, Neuroradiology, Musculoskeletal and breast Imaging, in order to maintain certifcation and maximize patient care. It is imperative that radiologists stay up-to-date on the latest imaging protocols. This program will address the most up-to-date imaging technologies in the evaluation of the brain/spine, body, breast and musculoskeletal systems, to improve diagnostic acumen and minimize additional testing. Lectures will emphasize image interpretation, diferential diagnosis and pitfalls. Several important topics that will be covered include: Dual Energy MDCT, Mammography, Imaging the Airways, MSk
MRI, Imaging of Head and Neck Cancer, Imaging of Seizure Disorders, Lung Cancer, Pancreatic Cancer, and evaluation of incidental radiologic fndings.
The essentials presented in this program are meant to be integrated into the participants practices in an efort to improve their current knowledge, imaging skills and ultimately improve patient care.
