Health care in developed and developing countries is facing a number of critical challenges and there is an ever increasing need to develop smarter, cheaper and more efficient biomedical technologies for the early diagnosis and treatment of diseases.

The development and use of nanomaterials in sensors and biomedical devices can potentially address some of these challenges by producing paradigm changing technologies.

The symposium is aimed at bringing together scientists and engineers across industry, research laboratories and university to increase the level of scientific discussion, networking and exchange of ideas on nanomaterial-based sensors for biomedical applications and will feature invited talks, oral and poster presentations.
