Description
This seminar will bring together key stakeholders to discuss the future funding models and organisation of Higher Education in England. The event follows the publication of Lord Browne`s Independent Review of Higher Education Funding and Student Finance and will be an opportunity for delegates to consider the implications of the Review. At this early stage we expect discussions to look at how recommended changes to future fees policy and student funding will impact upon the sector; how wider and fairer access to university can continue to be supported whilst ensuring that the quality of the student experience is protected; and how excellence in teaching and research can be maintained in light of budgetary constraints. UK spending on Higher Education in comparison with other developed nations will also be examined, in addition to the future organisation of HE - including two-year degrees and courses taught at Further Education colleges.
