Description
Following the publication of the first set of A-level results since the introduction of the new A* grade, this timely seminar will examine whether A-levels are meeting the needs of students, universities and employers and will look at possible alternatives. Sessions will look at the accuracy and reliability of results, whether the introduction of the new A* grade will make it easier for universities to evaluate the performance of students; if there should be a move towards a standard university entrance examination to supplement A-levels; and whether universities should play a greater role in deciding the content of A-levels.
