This seminar will examine the options available to attract more people into careers in IT and to alleviate the UK`s IT skills shortage. The event will look at issues emanating from the Sector Skills Review conducted for the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills. Sessions focus on the teaching of IT in universities, schools and colleges and whether the image of an IT career is appealing to those choosing their professional future. The event will also look at the needs of specific professions such as the video games and visual effects industry as well as the dangers of a lack of skilled IT professionals for the UK`s economic competitiveness.
