Description
This timely seminar will examine the reform of school and college governance, and of accountability in the education system. It is scheduled to follow the completion of the Education Select Committee`s review into the role and remit of Ofsted, and will bring key policy makers together with stakeholders including school governors, local authorities, parents` groups and headteachers. At this early stage we expect sessions will look at moves towards increased professionalism in governance, potential reform for Ofsted and changes to the way schools and colleges are held accountable by both Ofsted and the public, including league tables and the role of pupil assessment.
