Description
We know World Pi Day celebrates maths and not pastry, but we invite you to a morning tea that celebrates both.
or pi, also known as Archimedes Constant, is the mathematical constant whose value is the ratio of any circle`s circumference to its diameter, and the ratio of a circle`s area to the square of its radius. It is approximately equal to 3.141593.
is an irrational number, and we`ll tell you what else is irrational - just how famous is compared to just about any other formulae or figure in existence.
Rational or not, CSIRO Discovery is jumping on the bandwagon, and hosting a morning tea to celebrate World Day.
Our staff are having a bake-off, of real pie, not the kind, and you get to enjoy the fruits of our labour. We hope to see you there!
